Cool Houses KC by Franny Knight started as she took photos every day of Cool Houses she would see and posted them to Facebook. Now its a Blog to keep track, write stories, show more features, have others make comments and post their own cool houses.

We are also featuring cool interiors and tips on getting your house show ready to get the best price.

What is a Cool House according to Franny? Groovy, Funky, Unique structural design, colors, finish work, art deco designs. Franny has a special affinity for Tudors, Bungalows, Victorians especially in the Brookside, Plaza, Waldo, Hyde Park, Westport, Roanoake Areas. She also loves the contemporary/modern 3 story flat roof, boxy homes in the middle of older neighborhoods like the Westside (17th & Summit).

Green Homes are included as well, since Franny is an Eco Realtor with Chartwell Realty. Homes that are built Passive Solar, Active Solar (Solar Panels), Geothermal Heat Source, Radiant Heat Floors, Energy Efficient Upgrades and Retrofits, LEED Certified or NAHB Certified Green.
